Some of the information I was able to glean from the screenshots in the Computer Gaming Strategy Plus interview.

-I saw a native lifeform! If you look at the shot for the Lord's Believer's city screen and zoom in near the nutrients window, you will see part of the ocean. There is a unit with a red shield which looks something like a thorn bush with antennae.
-The cities' designs are based on faction. The Lord's Believer's have church cities, and what I assume is the Morgan Conglomerate has cities made of gold.
-The engine:
1. Explore-This may close the city screen and allow you to move your units around.
2.Discover-Tech screen?
3.Build-This probably where you set up queues for construction.
4.Conquer-unit design screen?
5.Governor-City status screen?
-If you look at the bottom, there are two faces, one red and one blue. Several icons are lined up next to the blue face. I believe this is the morale indicator screen. Red is unhappy, while blue is happy or content.
-Instead of having to count each square's resource production, it appears there is an icon which tell what is being produced and the quantity being produced in that square.
-City Names: Children of God, Anchorage something

I like the touch with the bases. Eye candy yes, but eye candy can be fun.

Yes eye candy can be nice, I like eye candy, I especially like how the cities changed after certain pre-requistes, like modern cities & those Red ones in civII.

Yep Yo_Yo. But anyway, why did they take the singularity tank screenshot off? Was it classified?

I dont know why they took it off, it must be classified, I think the singularity tank was better than the one they have now, even though the new one is giving us more info.

They said they were updating that in a month or two.

Yes, I know. But how long does that mean we'll have to wait for the game? Maybe they are so busy they don't have time to update it, though.

It's a pity that Firaxis can neither confirm or deny our hypothesis.

I hope they allow the beta testers to give some info on the game away.

I doubt it. I wish I was a beta tester, but I don't have previous testing experience. Plenty of Sid experience though...Civ, Civ II, Pirates!, Colonization.
