What's where? Who's where and where's here? Am I here? I'd like to be here. I think that I'm here. If I fall, and nobody else is here, do I make a sound? Ahhh... that's one I can answer. If I fall, and I am knocked out instantly, before I make a sound (say I am scared into unconciousness), I neither make a sound nor not make a sound, so long as there is nobody else here. Ah, but IDF is here, so I DO make a sound, as observed by him. So now we have that dissertation, the question arises of what do I sound like when I fall? Perhaps a dull thud and a slight gasp. It really depends on where I'm landing. If I land in this forum, I make a very longwinded sound and die from electrocution. If I land naked on a cold hardwood floor (eugh) I make a slappy sound and die, because the wood is hard and...well...my head isn't that hard. And if I land in a giant bowl of strawberry yoghurt, I squelch, and, if it is non-fat, I drown (because I am unconcious), and if it is full fat, my arteries clog and I die. Ah, but that brings us to the instance where I fall into reduced-fat yoghurt. In that case, because normal people keep their reduced-fat yoghurt in the fridge, it is cold and it will jar me awake, in which case I won't die. So the only way I could survive, and not die like this forum has allegedly done, is to land in a large vat of strawberry yoghurt. And the final result? Put "This place" into a vat of strawberry yoghurt, of course. Ah, but this is but a theory, and doesn't include much of importance. For example, will this procedure work using kiwi yoghurt, or raspberry. What if we use yogurt instead of yoghurt? The absence of an "h" on the outside of a vat could have devistating effects. For example, the absence of the extra paint could unbalance the whole thing so that it tips over when I fall in, in which case I would die from hitting the floor (as before proven--but what if it is concrete or carpet, rather than hardwood?). Alternatively, if the "h" was painted on, the extra body heat of the painter may heat up the yoghurt enough so that I would not wake (and would consequently drown) OR would heat it up enough so that the yoghurt grew mold, which may perhaps cushion my fall. Of course I might breath in several mold spores, which could cause my stomach and blood vessels to be caked with mold, which brings us back to the problem of full-fat yoghurt (or even full-fat yogurt), which wouldn't even have mold on it, because, as everybody knows, full-fat yoghurt doesn't grow mold, so I wouldn't breath it in, but either way I would die from clogged arteries. Oh no, another useless count thread! And I've already posted in it! AARRGGHH! Hmmm...but that was mindless philosophical drivel. Can it really be considered a post? Aha! Another deep philisophical discus--ech, eugh, bleh, sphhhhhhhhh.... And a great cheer rises from the crowd. 5 minutes before... Ah, so the experiment wouldn't work in the US! In Canada we apparently spell yogurt "yogourt," same in French. We just so happen to have a bucket of strawberry-banana "yogourt" (banane-fraise yogourt, pour les parleurs de la francais--que faites-vous ici? Ici, nous parlons l'anglais. Ah, mais vous parlez anglais, aussi?) which, unsurprisingly, nobody has eaten (we didn't buy it). Speaking of which, I'm surprised only one or two people read my post. It just goes to show the sad state of Western education and openness to radical ideas which are the future of science as we know it :-)) (and it didn't take that long to write--about 5 or 10 minutes). I've taken French since Kindergarten, because I was raised in a Canadian Military town, and military people in Canada often speak French as a first language.
