Here's a question I've had for months and have never read an answer to.
Do the computer factions use the same research method as I do? If I use blind research, do they? Do computer factions ALWAYS use the same research method, or do they use the method I set when I start the game? Thanks,

Good question.
I notice that when I start out with blind research, each different faction seems to have different "blind" research boxes checked. You know the ones I mean? Explore, Discover, Build & Conquer.
My conjecture is that they stick with the same modified blind research agenda throughout the game, regardless of whether you choose blind or not.
