Oops!

I just did my monthly and quarterly surveys for the Game Entertainment Hype, Research, and Investment markets. Yes, Firaxis got pretty poor marks from me. Wonder why?

Can't say how big an impact that might have, but I truly am part of several focus groups, which tends to exaggerate may opinions throughout certain sectors. That's what the "Oops!" is for.

And as I remember it, there were at least 10 well respected game reviewers that were members here. Are they still here? Has their attitude toward Firaxis or SMAC changed? Will that be reflected in their SMACAX reviews?

That's the problem with customers. It can be hard to tell which ones are the president or VP of your capital venturists financier or a member of your Publisher's board... you just never know.

Lol, clever writing . It just got me thinking, maybe a bunch ppl here should open a web page and praise and critisise games made and in the making. I'm sure we would praise Firaxis, huh...

It seems critisism is most important when it is in the idea phase or early development phase. Companies with Firaxis amazing lack of faith in themselves (they don't have the faith to bring something evolutionary out of the Civilization core), should really have the fans bring ideas to them and then have polls about what the fans would like to be included in the game.

Hoping Darkstar is a pissed off executive for PC Gamer. Then finally...
