I really like the selection of quotes from the Datalinks used when you discover a new tech (Plato, Machiavelli, Neitzche, Kant, etc.) Does anyone know whether the designers took these from any one particular anthology of western philosophy, or did someone at Firaxis just have a nice library of the classics?

As far as I know, Brian Reynolds has a degree on Philosophy. I think that is the main source of the quotes and of the "Eudaimonia" concept (his library of classics, I guess). |

Yeah, and the science quotes (and explanations, but who reads those. I especially like the one that reads "...building modest factories where all repetative nonskilled jobs, from janitor to VP of Sales, are handled by sophisticated robots" Hee hee hee) |
