I think this was posted before, but I can't find it. Which rule file contains the parameter that affects mindworm appearance rate, and how should I change that number to decrease appearance rate in the end-game? My cities are getting overwhelmed by 50+ mindworms at once.

PB's work wonders, really =)Make sure, however, you're not actively blowing up your own cities -- fusion/quantum ones should work best. Other than that, try and get a really high Planet rating, and hey, take control of half of them,. and have them kill the other half. |

Akhenaton, if you're being hit by that many mindworms, you're doing something wrong.Well, not "wrong", exactly. Causing mindworm eruptions is a good way to raise extra money, as long as you're prepared to handle the worms - having a couple of Elite Empath Scout Choppers on hand, for instance. Beats taxes. The point is, you should only cause as much eco-damage as fits your strategy. There are several structures to reduce eco-damage. If you're playing a low-infrastructure game (a pure conquest game, for instance), then build more but smaller cities, so none of them get a high damage rating. |
