Dear Jeff,I would just life to take this opportunity to thank you for your efforts with Alpha Centauri. I can tell from your article that these will be replicated in Alien Crossfire.
It is rare that we find such an understanding of the needs and motivations of the gaming community. Many games companies would feel that they had done enough by producing a product that lives up to the expectations generated by the box and runs reasonably bug-free. In short a quality product at the right price.
You, however, demonstrate a far greater understanding of the human psyche, of the soul, of our need to socially interract. You realise that we have a need to interract with eachother and you add value by giving us something to interract about.
The idea of introducing bugs for social reasons is a concept ahead of its time. That, I am sure, is why many people here apparently do not understand you. I, however, extend my congratulations to you all and especially to the member of the Firaxis Socal Work Department who puts all of these bugs in post-QA. It must be really hard work deciding which ones go back in, so again my congratulations for a job well done.
I look forward to your next therapeutic software release.
Yours sincerely
