Ayep. I'm not playing SMAC anymore. Stars! is much more fun. . with. . .dare I say strategy beyond the rush. The article by Morron, I mean. . .Morris really upset me. Bad PR. extremely aweful PR. It's hard to sympathize with a small start up company going up against the big guys after that article. JKM is an employ of Firaxis; therefore, the company is also responsible.

I doubt they care if they lose a player. You bought the game, Why not play it. Dont stop because of political reasons! |

Stars! is more fun than SMAC? Playing Stars! is like playing an Excel spreadsheet! A drier game I have not played in a long time... |

Oh Yeah! I loved to play Excel spreadsheets. I evend did it with Lotus 1-2-3 macros, remember core wars?Kidding apart, if you are interested in strategy, all the graphics and sound are just entertainment, wher you don't get fun from. The fun you get from the game essence, and Stars! has it. And the UI is light years ahead of SMAC, even with bare graphics and no animations... |

I forgot to salute Stargazer, even if we didn't directly interact a lot. But I guess I saw him pop up elsewhere recently... I can always find him in Waypoint Zero, if it still exists... |
