Will a player be able to use the original human factions in SMAX?

Forget Crossfire. It's just going to be another buggy piece of crap.

Boycott Firaxis!

First off SMAC is not a "buggy piece of crap". Yes it does have bugs but calling a piece of crap is way over the line. I have played this game since came out and I have had a ton of fun with it and plan on having more fun w/ SMAC X. I just had to get that off of my chest.

bomberman on't let ZZ bother you, I don't think he likes the game.

ZZ:I get the feeling that you don't like, maybe even hate SMAC from this and other posts I've seen. That's fine. I have a lot of games that I feel wasted my money. (Open Ice which quit after 1 period, the comapny, Midway, told me that it was my system (sound familiar?) that was bad and I should reinstall Windows, drivers, everything to get it to work. That CD then became a test subject to determine how much damage a CD could take and still be read)
Anyway, I stopped playing the game and quit dealing with the website.

My question is if you hate it so much, why do you continue to follow its trials and tribulations on the forums? Do you still play it? If yes, then why (you did say it was a buggy piece of crap)? Just wondering...

Bomberman: There is no line to cross. We are travelling in the land of personal opinion; it has no boundaries. If you don't agree with me, then don't buy my book. Oh, I don't have a book. So, you'll just have to tough it out.

SMAC is buggy as hell, even after 4 patches (they are not Enhancements damnit). AC will be a buggy piece of crap too. It's in the cards. Accept it.

akathisia: I stick around for the same reason I keep in touch with the ignorant tripe Jerry Falwell spouts on a daily basis. I understand that there is only so much rat excrement you can keep out of an industrial sausage press, but I still eat hot dogs. It's just my curse that I demand superb products from the leaders in software deveopment. Forgive me if I believe that what passes for acceptible development today is not good enough.

SMAC is not good enough, and I will not pretend that it is. Nor will I keep my mouth shut as long as there is a medium for my expression.

Anything else?

No, nothing else.

You can express anything you want here. Its a free country (well, the USA is, I don't know where you are.) Just different philosophies of life, I would've ended all interaction with SMAC if I was sufficiently annoyed by the bugs.

Maybe your way is better. Firaxis will see all the dissatisfied customers and vow to correct its mistakes.

akathisia-can't we all just get along
