I will post new Scenario Contest news here
In a Scenario Contest - you try to beat the score of other players - in the same scenario
Its the best way to learn - since - if you enter a contest - you will get access to the solution download site - and get to see the best solutions.

Laurens has created another TI scenario - fire_santiago_2173
This is not a builder game - he starts you off with vendetta vs 4 factions....

Will you be putting up a similar thread over at ACOL? Seems that more people are shifting there.
And will there be any new plans for the Scenario-site in view of SMACX products, like the latest 'Alien Crossfire' or SMAC2/3....?

We have an Ascent to Transendence champion.
Player2 has achieved the high score on both T50_lal_2101 and tscd_zakharov_2241
Both require Ascent to Transcedence and the former requires 50 Transcendent thought-techs too.
Congrats player2 !!

New Scenario
Interesting new scenario - good chance for those who wont play cause they cant top the high score (you know who I mean)
Deirdre_2190 - You are about to achieve air power. Hold on and defeat Yang. This isnt easy. The AI is tough here.

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in playing a late game scenario using the Earth-Map as the setting.
It will be tough. You won't have too many cities (making it into a One-City Challenge would be impossible to win, so perhaps a couple of cities will do), the year the game begins will be approx 2350-2420, game ends at 2500.
Any suggestions, comments and flamers are greatly welcomed.
(BTW, the Earth map was the one downloaded from the Apolyton site. I have yet to seek the approval of the author )

P.S. If the game ends off at 2500, what happens next? Sad to say I have never played a game that late. Is the one with the highest points going to be declared as the winner? This might actually help to define the game winning conditions for the scenario.

In addition to the 'calculation' part, maybe you could think about all possible ways on how to churn up a brand new unit.
You will understand why SMAC is biased for fast conquest.

i finished T50_lal_2101 - with a little help from HelloKitty
well - it took me 2342 years - 63 years more than player2's incredible score
this one is tough - you probably need at least a week....
