How is it that mind worms attacking a base can destroy a satellite in orbit? Once a sat is in orbit, all it needs is periodic maintenance, and surely any base with an Aerospace Complex (or the Space Elevator, if you have it) can provide that?

I have NEVER heard of this happening,.. but can believe it. I assume this happened when mindworms attacked a base with no improvements left in it, but had built satalites? Probably just some pointer that they forgot to flag. |

To the best of my knowledge this DOESN'T happen. Are you sure it did? Can you produce a .sav to verify? |

Yes, I'm sure, but I don't have any of the .SAVs from that game anymore. The only reason I noticed it is because on one occasion when I was looking at the Orbital and Space Status screen, I noticed that the number of Orbital Defense Pods and Nessus Mining Stations had each decreased by two since the last time I had looked. Since I was the only faction in play at the time, had not expended any of my ODPs, and know of no other means by which to lose a satellite, I can only conclude that the Mind Worms were to blame. I am, however, more than willing to entertain alternate theories. |

There are also random events that can destroy your satellites.Aredhran
