Ted,I did the same test, although I know you were just trying to disseminate information (I'm more cynical). I'm of the view that the debate now progresses more at ACOL. Views anyone? Resource Consumer - nothing to add - |

$26.99??? W-T-*? "Alien Crossfire" sounds ok, but I don't want to shell out that much for the expansion. But I have to buy it, because I have to review it for my SMAC site. <sigh>...I was figuring 10-20$ at most. |

DMan...Apparently, the SMAC eXpansion that is so talked about (SMACX) has been titled. That title will be "Alien Crossfire" making it... SMACAC... Sid Meyer's Alpha Centauri: Alien Crossfire. The only penalty for putting it on pre-order is that it will probably show up on the store shelves before you get your ordered copy... And you won't be able to take advantage of that second week sale that Best Buy and other shops like to do. -Darkstar |

I don't know about that, Friend JPG. I have pre-ordered quite a few times. Sometimes, the publishing company just forgets to send it. Sometimes the send it as soon as it hits the warehouse... most of the time, I end up being charged the same price as Retail, no matter WHAT the original price listed was when I ordered it. Seems that the prelimanry listed price is what it is expected to sell at, but subject to change as always.Good luck with you pre-ordering (if that is what you choose to do)! -Darkstar |
