Ok, just to get absolutely sure, are all nessus prime stations stationed on the same asteroid? (Hard to think that the factions could share the asteroid peacefully)

According to Planets.txt, Nessus is about 1/2 the radius of our moon and about 1/10th the mass.

Plenty room for automated mining stations to operate without bumping into each other.

Hey, if I can't share Chiron with another faction, why would I share any moons? I wouldn't!

Like to be able to send a space probe team up and sabotage those facilities... not OPEN warfare, just probefare.

Better yet, send a probe team up and capture their expensive factory.

There is no sharing problem for the satellites in SP, as I have yet to see the AI launch *any* kind of satellite... The closest they seem to be able to do with air power is needlejets running around in circles (and occasionally destroying my formers and crawlers) and interceptors killing my own bombers, missiles raining down on my cities and maybe a planet buster.

That is, when my games are not over before air power is discovered

Aredhran:

I've had a game at transcend (when I was PK and was trying the orbitals challenge) where Yang not only built sats but engaged me in an orbital war. As I was just building power sats and hydros (to boost pop to gain some advantage from all those power sats) I had no orbital defense, (but hurry built six)and lost some 7 or 8 sats before I trashed his four.

So under the right conditions they do build. I've read elsewhere that the AI is programmed to ape somewhat what the humans are building, so maybe you need to go overboard before it'll build many.
