Am I the only one who has trouble finishing a game after gaining a dominant position over the AI factions? As soon as I get powerful enough to be sure I will win the game ceases to be fun and so I drop it and start a new one. In my current game playing Morgan on Transcend level I am more than twice as strong as the second place Peacekeepers but I am nowhere near winning. I have no chance to win an election for Supreme Leader because Lal has the Empathy Guild to further pump up his council votes and the third and fourth place factions hate me so much they won't even answer my calls ( the rest of them are inconsequential ). The tech for Transcendence is still a while off as is cornering the Energy Market. Conquest should be easy enough as I just got Planet Busters while the AI still lacks them but without any doubt of the outcome war is just a tedious business and not something I want to spend hours of my time doing. I think the Supreme Leader vote should be a simple majority vote so that anyone who can get half of Planet's population can win without any support from other factions. |
