Okay, anyone who plays this game has felt the awful wrath of the melting polar ice caps. Last game I played I was Morgan, and being a total eco-bastard. Lots of boreholes, echelon mirrors, the works. Lots of global warming. I think by the time I ended the game, the sea levels would have risen over 1000 meters, had I not voted in the solar shades repeatedly.

Now, is this realisitic at all? From what I understand, if you take Earth and melt ALL the polar ice caps, the sea levels would rise only about 100 meters. Less, even. Chiron is supposed to be a warmer planet as well, with smaller ice caps. What's up with this?

I agree, there must be a limit. One time, I wanted to try out the old planet buster, so I cheated and built a whole bunch and let em fly. Next turn, the sea lever warnings were flying. I think had I given it a chance, the level would have risen 10,000. Doesn't seem like there is a limit, and there really should be i think.
