I'll start myself off by the questions I wanted to ask, don't swear at me 'cause I'm a newbie, but I really need some serious help on these problems and I'm shameless to ask:
1. When you are running low on nutrients,what is the quickest way to gather nutrients without using formers to terraform the area?
2. How to maximize your population limit once you reached 14, is there some other buildings you can build after you constructed hab complex to extend your pop limit?

And here is one of the tip I discovered:
Ok, here is a "cool" thing I found out on my CD, maybe it's bug buta I'll just to share with you guys. Once you inserted your SMAC CD into the computer, and wait until a screen comes up where you see the ROTATION of seven faction's leader with all the option buttons, like quit the game, play the game, look at readme.txt, register 'n' stuff.
Now just let the head of the seven faction rotate a whole round, until you come back to the box picture again, now you start the game. The interesting part is when I did this to my computer, the introduct movie was skipped, well not completely buta it did skipped after it only displayed for second.
You can try it on your CD and see you encounter the same problem as I did.

Get nutrients by using supply crawlers. BUT TRY TO TERRAFORM! YOU HAVE GOT TO TERRAFORM! YOU'RE GOING TO FALL BEHIND IF YOU DON'T TERRAFORM FAST!

Build a Hab Dome after you build a Hab Complex. The Dome lets you go over size 14. BUT I DON'T SEE HOW YOU GOT THAT FAR WITHOUT TERRAFORMING!

1. Supply crawlers to areas outside your cities control. Best way is to instead terraform the area that IS under your cities control. If you have forests, the tree farm increases nutrient production on those squares, as does the hybrid forest. If any ocean squares are in your base's territory, a kelp farm will produce excellent nutrients.

The Gene Splicing advance (I think) is needed to get more than 2 nutrients from ANY square initially.

2. You can build a Hab Dome after you have the appropriate tech (forget what it is) to move your cities past pop 14.
