Is it possible to diplomatically break off a Treaty? I've heard it can be done, and presumably damages your reputation less to go to Vendetta from Truce than from Treaty. S, how d'you do it?Thanks

Just make the other faction really mad. Try stealing tech, I'm not sure if that damages rep or not, then demand that they withdraw all troops from your territory, then use total thought control on one of their bases. |

I think that damages rep. My favorite way is to demand something they'll never give you. Then say if they don't give it to you, you'll crush them like a bug. If relations are already strained, it'll usually get them to break the Treaty. Giant Squid 3=O=> "Eternity lies ahead of us, and behind. Have you drunk your fill?"

Nope, doesn't damage rep at all. I was in a truce with diedre, and wanted out. So I just got a probe team and stole some cash. I was running a bit low anyway. It worked, and what's more amazing I ended a game as Yang still being noble! Guess I didn't play in character. |
