I just finished a Transcendence victory as UoP on Librarian level. When the replay map played out, for the first time ever it showed the location of sea bases. However, the ocean was black and so Sparta's progress couldn't be seen. I started the game in 2.0 and finished it after I intalled the 3.0 patch (I don't know if that makes any difference)Besides fixing that bug, is there a way to show the areas occupied by the sea bases in a different shade or texture. On 2.0, the sea bases didn't appear in the replay so you didn't get a true picture of the history. But now, the sea bases look the same as land on the replay, so again its not a true representation. Also it would be good if you could advance or rewind the replay or at least control the speed (or did I miss how to do that) I know I'm being picky about something that really has no bearing on the game at all. I just liked in CivOne watching my influence spread across the globe and I'm glad its back in SMAC.

I would like for the replay to be saved with the high score chart, since it already has the map. I'd like to be able to watch my most famous victories again sad..... |

I completely agree, it was great watching the world be conquered in Civ 1, and I'd love to see a better replay system. But at least they fixed the replay problem with showing land changes. In one of my games I nuked everyone off the face of the earth, and since the replay only showed the landmass as it was at the end... I was the only faction that ever showed any color. |
