Well I have one idea but it's one of those ideas that dosen't make that much of a difference strategically in the game itself BUT might be fun still. Say when you achieve victory a dialog pops up that asks you if you want to continue the game. During this time you continue to build your tech and civilization while battleing planet. Also some of your cities might revolt and form a new faction to deal with. Contact with earth or aliens might be explored. Anyone who's played 7K knows how satisfying it is to have a chance to actually manipulate the world once you have achieved victory as the only superpower. I program but not games. I was told, however, that continued play in it's basic form would be VERY easy to implement. For those who say "what's the point" isn't Alpha Centauri itself really kind of a "continued play" for those who had won in Civ 2 and then asked "now what?" |
