In a multiplayer game, the passwords seem only linked to the game, not the the specific factions. So, when reloading a multiplayer saved game, as long as all the passwords are entrered, any player can choose any faction as if the game was starting for the first time. It would be nice if the passwords were linked to specific factions.

Well, I only have experience with one MP PBEM game, but the password seems to be faction specific to me.

I did a test with one of my friend and, as soon as we both entered our password, the game was telling that all the required passwords were entered, even if we did not select our faction yet. We even started the game using the wrong factions.
