1) The JOMT Syndrome: Characterized by lack of sense of time, and trouble in personal relationships and work environment.

2) Turn Deprivation: An especially nasty disease that acts in conjunction with the JOMT syndrome. This occurs where you're playing, but circumstances force you to stop playing, though you are suffering from JOMT. Symptoms include extreme anxiety and depression.

3) Pre-SMAC Syndrome (PSS): This psuedo-disease occurs on a 1 day cycle, excluding weekends, where the person has a feeling of anticipation for playing SMAC and gives little attention to everything else around them.

4) SMAC Deprivation: Similar to Turn Deprivation, this is a much more serious disease. You have this when circumstances prevent you from playing SMAC at all. (Like before I got SMAC, when my hard drive crashed, and I had no room for it and I had to wait for a month to play it even though everyone loved it!!! AHH!)

5) SMACititus: This disease is when you are sick of SMAC. It has been eradicated, existing to be studied only in rare cases such as Yin. Almost everyone has a natural immunity to this disease.

Post more, everybody!!!

FORUM TRANSFERENCE. (psych)

Method of delaying SMAC Deprivation, most commonly caused by being unable to play SMAC at work. The Smacoholic will attempt to satisfy their need by spending all day browsing the SMAC forum.

Xenofunkus: Hearing classic drug-era Jimi Hendrix rock music and hallucinating different lyrics:

"Fungal haze, all through my days ... psycho maggots tryin' ta eat my brains ..."

EXPECTIS PATCHORALIS:

This insidious disease keeps angry/disappointed players from criticizing the game because they keep thinking:

"Well, I expect the next patch will fix that."

Quasi-SMACititus yin26ei = a disease initially diagnosed as a virulent infectious strain of SMACititus, but since contained by repeated exposure to enhanced antibiotics and subsequently reclassified as a hybrid of SMACititus with both JOMT syndrome and Forum Transference. Symptoms: morbid revulsion at the merest hint of SMAC, coupled with a compulsive dwelling on the subject. Prospect of a cure: evidently incurable. Prognosis: grim. Side effects: off-topic discursions, obfuscated sarcasm, and intense amusement.
