I'm sick to death of mindworms and i read on one of these forums how to get rid of em. However, that was a while back and now I can't find the post. It had something to do with tweaking the alpha.txt file. If anyone can help, I'd certainly appreciate it.

Raman,

Other than setting up your game under the main menu for "rare" native life, or achieving Voice of Planet (I think that's the right secret project), I can't help you on the .txt file.

But you raise an interesting question that I'd like people to answer (after helping you, of course, because I remember the thread you're talking about):

How many people find the mindworms, despite the energy you get for killing them and the fact that you can capture them, a waste of time?

At first, I hated them. But now they form a valuable source of energy AND pretty good members of my army, paricularly after I raise them to be big and mean only to "set them free" near another faction's base.

It reminds me of "Ding-Dong-Ditch" (I'm not sure what the equivalent of that game is in other countries [you ring somebody's door and run away--usually after having placed some disgusting "gift" for them to find]).

Anyway, Raman, I guess what I'm saying is:

Mindworms are better than sex.

Use them. Abuse them. Love them. But don't delete them.
