Does anyone else feel ripped off that the Endgame sequence is kind of lame? I would have hoped for a more enriching cinematic signifying the conclusion / vicotry.Maybe my expectations are too high, but when I take into account the cool SP cinematics, I would think that we ought to be able to expect the mother of all cinematics at Endgame. Anyone else?

I agree; I've been trying to get each type of victory, and they've been a bit of a letdown. The Transcendence victory at least had an interesting story line, but cinematics would have been nice as icing. Also, does anyone here get too bored to win by Conquest? It's so tedious to hunt down every stupid last colony, because at that point you're so far superior it's not even a challenge, just routine. Too bad you can't set your units on "Auto-Conquer," take a nap, and come back to enter the score. |

I have the same problem with transcendence, it usually requires 20+ years of micromanaging, while the AI factions are all inconsequential. The difference between supreme leader and transcendence for me is about two hours of relatively boring advancement/management. I suppose I COULD play at a higher difficulty, but that usually results in my leader in a punishment sphere by year 2300. Where's the middle ground? |
