This game is great, very addicting, and I spend too much time playing it. Part of the reason, unfortunately, is due to the clunky UI. In particular, here are my concerns:

1) The Workshop! It takes a LONG time to scroll through the items, especially once there are 'copters and other animated icons. An option to turn off animation in this box would be nice. Also, when you upgrade/obsolesce/retire a unit, it really sucks how some other (sometimes random!) unit is selected. I like to work from the front of the list to the end update my technology -- but I can't!

1 (continued) -- One other thing: Add a feature to allow you to update TO a unit. Ie -- If I've got my 12-6-3 unit selected, I could hit some button that would upgrade all lesser versions of this unit to the 12-6-3 version.

2) Get automatic obsolete unit pruning working. They still stick around even when I have none of them.

3) The really slows down as it progresses. I've turned off autocenter, turned on fast moves, etc. I've got a PII-350, and it still takes a second between clicking on a city and getting the city view!

4) City Interface -- change the production method so that the currently produced item is the top of the queue -- don't make building something right now any different than inserting into the queue.

Thanks!
