In my most recent game, I was obliterating Dierdre's green units after she had planetbusted my capital city (why do the Gaians ALWAYS use those PB's first????). Throughout this time, there was sunspot activity. Once the sunspot activity ended she surrendered to me. A few turns later I elected to vote for supreme leader, which I won. Everyone, including Dierdre, voted FOR me...except those despicable Believers whom I had been at war with for ages. How surprised I was then that the Gaians, submissive towards me, defied the will of the council!! I had even explicitly changed my government just to appease her....that's the last time I'm ever doing that again! |
