Recently this forum has rapidly decreased in its effectiveness to be a communication center about the game.
When I logged on this morning nearly 50% of the active threads had to do with either anti-smacers defanming the game and pro-smacers defending it.
Enough. When I see the same post repeated again and again, it becomes annoying and detracts from the site.
So, anti-smacers, OK, you dislike the game, fine. Please go elsewhere since there is little this forum can provide other than trolling for flame wars.
Pro-smacers, don't answer anti-smacer posts, all it does is provide validation for them and an oportunity to start wars.
Finally, lets talk about the actual game.

I agree with you, I've noticed everyone is after Yin for some reason (probably because most people on this forum are very intolerant) and they keep insulting each other like 10 year old kids. Personnally I'd like to know what will be included in patch3.0 and wether the Europeans will have to wait 3 months more than the Americans to use it.

We're holding off on announcing v3.0 fixes/additions because the final list might be different. Actually, since the game was released in Europe on February 18th 1999, and the patch was released on March 13th 1999, it was closer to a month. Way to long in my opinion, but we've ensured that future European patches won't lag that bad. I imagine the UK version will be released at roughly the same time as the US, and that French and German about a week or so after.

I hope 3.0 is released soon. I've held off on multiplayer until the spy feature is fixed.

There IS room on this site for so-called "anti-SMACers" that have constructive comments for improving the game (call them something else). I'll put forth the possibility that there are people who come to this site trolling for anti-SMACers as well, and I could do without them as well. Slam the game, support the game, but make sure you're mentioning specific problems/features (BE CONSTRUCTIVE). Enough posting "smac sucks" and "smac rules" fluff statements with no content.
