From a very disapointed european customer!!

Will there ever be a european patch???

I dont think so, not before EA swallovs their pride and remove the copy protection!

I've seen it with a lot of recent games, the last of which I bought (Caesar III), still dont have a european patch after THREE MONTHS of "will be out soon".

Of course we can use the US .exe, but it won't be RIGHT before its posted OFFICIALLY by EA or Fireaxis.

Its a killer game, but as long as it isn't reciving support, I can't possibly recomend it to anyone.

So get the patch out or swallow your pride and remove the copyprotection, which just is frustrating for the legal owners of the game.

OR WE MIGHT HAVE TO DEMAND OUR MONEY BACK!!!

Starting to get pissed of!

Dear Sir,

Just to clarify. Your problems were not created by Firaxis. The game is 100% bug free as is. The problems start when crazy people like you decide to move to Europe.

And how could you possiby expect Firaxis to understand in advance the European copy protection schemes? I don't think Firaxis ever wanted to sell its games in Europe anyway. I'll bet good American dollars that the European Union is behind this whole effort to steal SMAC from the houses of well-bred, computer literate American children. SHAME Xmainator! SHAME Europe.

You dark, sinister Europeans with your techno-rock and strumpets... You people can't even make a decent breakfast. What makes you think you deserve a little SMAC in the morning?

Design your own game, dude, if you can't wait the measly 6 months it will take to get the patch. Be thankful there even will be a patch, you Euro-baby.

I'm just sick and tired of people like you--coming to this forum and laying blame where it doesn't belong. Blame Europe. Blame your mother. Blame the purple TeleTubby. But at your own peril blame Firaxis.

You can't have both, buddy. Europe or SMAC.

And you've clearly made your choice.

Yin, please tell me you're joking!!

Wait a minute, I know what you're doing. You want someone to answer and say that your a jerk for saying that. And then you'll turn around and say: "Can't you see that that's Firaxis' attitude since they're not doing anything about it"

Nice try Yin but you're getting a bit predictable. Maybe you should take a break and people will actually listen to you instead of just dismissing you as a rude, whining pain in the arse.

It IS a joke! My god, I don't think I could be any more obvious. I think Firaxis should be expected to understand what will happen to its games when they ship. I also think they should prepare for the unique problems that arise as a result of Europe's requirements.

Next time, I'll be sure to put the happy face

Xminator--

I'm on your side . I think it's absolutely wrong that you should have to wait for your updated version of buggy software while Americans get it right away.

I would be angry too.
