I have an US version of SMAC, but some of my friends have (or are planning to buy) the French version.
I was wondering whether I would be able to save a game on my PC (US SMAC w/patch) and reload it on my friend's (French SMAC).
That would be especially important when the V2.0 patch becomes available for the French version and we can (finally) start those PBEM multiplayer games !
Would an Internet game work if different versions of SMAC are used together, for example, with 4 players: US 1.0, US 2.0, UK, French.
Any ideas/experiences ?

It should work as long as everyone has the same version.
