Okay, I'm ready to quit my game(for the sixth time) and get my three hours of sleep. My minimal function sleep requirement, but if you "challenge" me at work I'll pass out.
I go to the save game screen, save my game, and play 10 more turns before remembering to quit.
Why? Once you save your game, you're immediately dropped out of the options box back into the game. Units are blinking, move me, move me. I forget why I saved.
Suggestion for the patch:
If the options box stayed open after I saved
I *might* remember to quit. If I'm going to live to be 30 I need an option window that stays open after I save, preferably one that is large enough to cover the WHOLE screen so I can't see my empire any longer. The quit game should be an icon (not a button or bar) should look like a needlejet and blink on and off.
Firaxis, are you guys trying to kill your customers???

Do I have a personal problem that requires therapy? I won't go to a therapist if it cuts into my SMAC time, guess I'll have to take off work
Seriously, there are more important problems to address in the patch, but my health is suffering.
Despite the many problems (look around the forum, I play constantly and still haven't come across all of those mentioned here) I am addicted to the game.
My fiance is getting lonely. All my plants are dying of neglect. I forget to eat. I forget to sleep. I suddenly realize that if I don't get up RIGHT NOW, my bladder will rupture...

Turn on Iron Man. When you save, it quits.
