hey firaxis has probably found the best way to attract thousands of hits to their webpage... I am in there everyday several times hoping for this little line...
"New Enhancement Pack 2.0 NOW available on German/French/..."
God, I am REALLY looking forward to this date... why can`t it be now?? oh my.....

Which is, this: Suffice to say, the only difference in the European and U.S. versions is that the U.S. doesn't require the CD be in the drive. But guess what?

If you have an American friend email you the Terran.exe off their CD, and place that in your SMAC directory you can patch your game, and even ignore putting the CD in, like us, if you have the max install. (Just make sure they send you the terran.exe which is unpatched, right off their U.S. version cd)

Ok, the aussie version doesnt require CD either, will the patch work for me?

PS, that line ""New Enhancement Pack 2.0 NOW available on German/French/..." has been annoying me since it was first posted, especially since we cant play on alpha HQ

Yes, sure does, although i havta warn you that the game doesnt always run too smoothly after patching. Before, it never ever crashed, but after running the patch, it decided to occasionally muck-up...oh well, u win some u lose some...
