I am playing Yang. Everybody is either dead or have surrendered. Yet the computer won't declare my victory. I have to wait until the "supreme leader" option is available. It happen in the demo, the original, and the patch. It happens only sometimes. I still have the saved games.I am currently on thinker level. 4 faction surrendered, the other 2 dead. I have given my subjects some tech and cities. I wonder if that could have been a problem. George

If I remember correctly, the manual mentions somewhere that no more than 3 factions can win cooperatively by Pact. Perhaps that includes surrendering? |

Turn on scenarios editor, check custom rules, ensure win by conquest option is turned on. |

I confirm it happened to me too, but olny after I was elected Supreme Leader and Gaia went rebel (and of course I got her) |

and of course I'm sure I had all victories turned ON, as I always do (at least they were on when I started, unless some bug can turn'em off during the game) |

For Firaxis troubleshoting purposes, I turn all victory conditions on. As I said, it only happens sometimes, I am able to win other times with the same setting. Just last night I won with all 6 factions surrendered. There may be a bug some where.George |

I've also had this problem, where I cannot seem to win by conquest. I had eliminated all factions but two, and they both swore pacts to serve me (i.e. surrendered). Yet the game did not recognize that I had won. All victory settings were enabled in the custom rules. Unless someone can suggest something better, this has to be a bug. |

Okay, I was just checking in some other threads. In "End Game/Victory Bug?" thread in The Game forum, Horus explains what the problem is (and I hope I have his permission to copy his words):"If you check in the Troubleshooting section, there are a couple posts relating to this problem. Apparently if you run the tutorial and then play a game after with "Current Rules" the game will be set with the tutorial's rule set (i.e. no victory conditions). Wouldn't really call it a bug, but more of an oversight by Firaxis. They'll probably be able to fix this in a patch. Easy solution is to just check you rule setup anyway." |
