I've heard a lot of people bitching and moaning about the mind worm and fungus going crazy. At what difficulty level does this begin to happen? I just finished my first game (specialist level) and I didn't have any problems, save for a few sporadic attacks. No more than 1 ever 6 or 7 years. I assume the higher difficulty levels have more problems? Of course, I am very eco-friendly... no boreholes, no condensors. Tree farm in every city, etc... maybe that makes a big difference.

Of course, having a low eco-damage rating for your cities helps a lot, as well as the type of improvements. Even when I played the Gaians, with Green economics, by later in the game and enhancements are everywhere, mind worm hordes started their campaign against me. Hey! Don't they know? I'm their friend! Hee hee. |

When one faction researches Threshhold of Transcendence, you get an interlude about the "Growth Dream" starting. LOTS of worm boils pop up and fungus goes crazy with the focus being on the person with the most eco-damage. It dies down again with another interlude when someone builds the Voice of Planet.James |
