I decided to try for an economic victory (Corner Global Energy Market) around 2400. After a few years I decided to see how long to go I had so I clicked on Corner Global Energy Market again and got - Our plan to corner the Global Energy Market is already in effect. Planet will be ours in 22353. I tried this again a few turns later and got something like 30300 |

I had this kind of message also - but be patient: The manual says: 20y to corner the market and indeed: I got economic vic after 20y had passed - there's just the message which is telling you fuzz. |

I experienced a bug w/the economic victory option as well, but mine was different. When I attempted to start it, instead of displaying the proper number of credits I had , it displayed the current game year +20. For example, I had about 5800 credits, but when I tried to corner the marked, it read something like: 27000 credits needed; you only have 2270; The game year was like 2240 or 2250. Next turn, in year 2241, it read; I'm a cs major, and that's a classic example of an identifier pointing to the wrong memory address (it's pointing to the address which hold the date instead of my credit ammount) |
