What purpose does the body scanner in the diplomacy interface serve. I've noticed that it displays different colours. Does 'red' mean they're nervous or angry and 'blue' happy or calm?

Gratefull for an answer. Could I squeeze in the word answer once more in this post. Answer?

OK, answer.

You see, playing the demo I wondered a lot of times what the h*** that scan was there for, always the same, told me that in the full version I would have found out.

Then I got the full, and, how comes, I always *forget* to pay attention to it when I'm in the diplo window, then I say darn next time I'll look at it then same story again.

You mean it shows a stable hue? It seemed to me the colour kept moving and cycling. I just glimpsed now that the characters portrayed reflect now at least the gender of the leader you're talking with.

Next time I'll give it a look.

The pictures all seem to have to do with the background of the leader you are talking with. The Provost as a young chess champion, etc.

That's all I've figured out. If the rest of it means anything, let us know.

The color indicates what the other leader was thinking when you first started talking where red is seething and blue is magnanimous. It doesn't change during your conversation, though, so if you do nice things, don't be alarmed to still see red.

The pictures just seem to cycle through a random set based on the faction of that leader. I think it'd be more interesting to see a map segment over there. We know that the AI plans attacks, since you can coordinate them. It would be an interesting game to figure out why the other faction leaders are thinking about certain cities.
