I've discovered Advanced Spaceflight, and I have close to two dozen satellites in orbit, but I'm still not able to build DP's. What are the prerequisites?
I think the Peacekeepers have one measly satellite, that needs to be taken care of

You need "Self-Aware Machines" (DISCOVER 11) for orbital defense pods (and also for "Nessus Mining Stations", which make minerals).
