what is with the slow game speed? civilization wasn't like this. the game slows
down and freezes on my cpu (PII 450 MMX) 128mb ram 8mb agp grafix card so whats the problem. Don't tell me they realeased this game Knowing that it would be this slow.
Is this worth $80.00 I don't think so.

I've got the same problem. I was playing it last night and the game froze on me. ...and I have a system comparable to yours.

For that price, this must be the UK/GR/FR version. The v2.0 patch will be available soon and address this problem. Other things to try are enabling "fast move" unit prefs, using the low-res units (refer to the readme), and/or running in 800x600.
