University of Planet + Hunter-Seeker Algorithm [This is a must] + Social Value: Knowledge = Great Combination. The main drawback of UoP is that enemy probe teams steal your tech as fast as you research it. This makes the Hunter-Seeker wonder invaluable. Also try for the citizens defense force, a perimeter wall at every city will eliminate the Hives early "underground" edge. The extra drone per 4 pop can be delt with by base facilities. The extra research of UoP combined with Knowledge will give you a great advantage over all the other factions, but be warned that jealousy will prevent you from having many friendships or pacts. |
