Does anyone know what the differences in difficulty levels are? (Apart from beeing more difficult ). My manual (German) doesn't tell anything about this...Thanks, Todd

at librarian level, all things are equal (per firaxis). with all other factors either plus or minus for or against you depending which direction you go in the difficulty levels. |

it affects when new citizens start being drones instead of workers- the 7th on citizen, the 2nd on Transcend. Your research rate, and a couple of other things are also affected. PawtheUnstuk |

On this question, i have always wondered this when playing Civ, Civ2, and AC. At the higher skill levels is the math changed during battles against you. For example, if according ot the math set forth in the manual you should have a 3:1 advantage in the battle, do you really have such an advantage at the highest skill level? I think not, and I think this is a horrible bit of design, they should find better ways to hinder you at the higher skill levels than flat out cheating for the AI. And regarding other people's post on similar subjects: Firaxis, please take out all computer cheating, AI factions should have to play by the smae rules as humans. |
