Regarding the issue of the current build selection not being integrated into the build queue, which everyone seems to agree is inefficient and annoying:I can see that eliminating the current unit spot would require both core code and look and feel redesign, so it is not likely to occur. But how about a few preferences to accomplish the same thing:
- One to eliminate "Stockpile Energy" if there are units on the queue (Similar to auto-delete trade goods and housing in MOO2).
- Another preference to prompt the user to delete the current unit if the first item in the queue is changed if no production penalty is incurred.
- A third preference to prompt the user to delete the current unit if the first item in the queue is changed EVEN IF a production penalty is incurred.
These would require some code additions, but no screen layout changes or core code changes, I would think.
Whaddya think?
