posted 02-18-99 09:13 AM ET I just finished my first game and I found that I cannot use the GOTO command like I could in Civnet. When I use the GOTO command a popup only gives me cities as destinations. I can't seem to point to where I want my player to go and have it go there.
One thing that I would like to see fixed is the "stuck" player that hangs up the game. In Civnet, at times after I have built railroads, a player gets stuck in a back and forth motion that can't be stopped, thus ending the game. I have noticed this in Alpha Centauri when a terraformer was stuck going back and forth on a road between a city and a sentry. It eventually ended, but after investing hours into a game, I would sure hate to see it hang up like in Civnet.

Well, remember the autosaves. Normally you won't see that happen unless they're automated on a mag-tube, but all you need to do is load up an old autosave or two and you can get past.

With the GOTO command:
While your unit is blinking, just drag the cursor across the screen (with the left mouse button down) and a line will show the goto path. Release the mouse button when the goto path is where you want it to be.
