Is there a unit in smac like the caravans in civ2 to help build secret projects?
Hmm, just thinking about it, is that what the supply pod is for in the workshop...

Poof, there it is, Supply crawler/foil/rover will yeild it's full mineral value if disbanded inside the city with the project... Don't be afraid to use the better chassis. They take longer to build, but you will get more minerals at the end.
