I am probably opening a can of worms by titling this thread this way but what the heck.
Since my copy of SMAC is a month out I thought that I would ask a pretty obvious question of those who already have this Grail.
Can games created and saved in the Demo run in the full version?

Yes they can. Demo saved games will run in the full version.

egnage mind control probe 100% - 50%
attempt total thought control 50% - 0%
what is the diffrence between the two? i have not noticed any diffrences except for the increased risk. can anyone answer this question? what exactly does "total thought control" do?

Another question about mind control percentages; what do they mean? Is the first number your chances of succeeding, and the second number your chances of getting away with it (not being discovered)?

The first number is the chance of successfully executing the probe attack. The second is you chance of survivng regardless of success.
Mind Control is attempting to subvert a base or unit and swallow other factions disproval. Total Thought Control is the same, but without getting blamed and with a lower chance of success.

thanks for the clarification. the only thing about the second # being the % chance of survival, is the game i was playing which spawned this question, is i atempted the total though control, it was sucessfull, and the probe was returned to nearest base. according to your statement, the probe should have been lost. is this a (good) bug?
