I checked out SMAC home page a few minutes ago and saw an update... My heart starts beating faster... Patch 4 ?
No such luck.
They translated the Bored Hell Hole scenario to spanish. Took 'em over a month...
English version (5/19/99)
French and German versions (5/25/99)
Spanish version (6/30/99)
This does not bode well for the Spanish patch 4 doesn't it ?
Hey, if anybody out there wishes to offer their translating services to Firaxis, I'm sure they could use the help... Hell, I'll do the French/English, no problems, even the testing if they want me to)

maybe they are too busy playing the Scenario Contests

BTW, I have never seen an Enhancement 2.0 or 3.0 Spanish Version.
Was the Spanish Version perfect? Or so late on the market, that they were able to include these already?

Spanish shipped with v3 on the disc. Various versions of patch 4 are already complete, but we are waiting for them all to sign-off for a simulatenous worldwide release. The second borehole scenario (with the exception of italian) was help for the same reason.

JFK, "simulatenous" again, you really have a sense of humour.
A masterpiece of a witz too, overloaded with second meanings (simulate, late, "simul" from latin...).
Or is that your official distribution policy revealed, actually?
(why don't you dump my compatriots? they'll finally make an effort to understand some foreign language)

Well, whatever delays they have in the spanish version, it's probably not due to lack of transators. I knew someone who reciently applied to Firaxis SPECIFICLY looking to do english/spanish techsupport/translation and she never heard back from them.
