Did you know you get 1 Tech pt every time you search a pod? I just noticed it. Any reason for this to occur?

It represents the knowledge gained due to opening all the various child-proofed containers in the pod in the hopes of finding things. They can be quite inventive, you know... push and turn right, now pull and shimmy, push and curse at the top of your lungs, and finally pull and twist left... voila! Open finally.
Seriously, its probably just suppose to be a basic research bonus of miscellaneous earth data that was found while searching the pod. Their science archives were damaged, after all.

I have to take all my stuff around to the kid next door who's 7 as he can open them and I can't.
