I think that it is high time that we had some out-and-out straight-up Builder challenges.
What I propose:
- create a small sized map
- make seven different scenarios
- each with only one single faction placed
- people can download them
You're all by yourself, how fast can you transcend?
Each new winner could post their scores at the A-polygon S.M.A.C.H.O.F. Categories for each faction.

I suppose I should qualify that a little. You're all by yourself ... with Planet.
I intend to have native life forms on Abundant for the Builder Challenges just to give something to fight.

Which faction should be the first scenario to be "challenged"? Any suggestions?

Well I would Start6 with the GAIANS because they would be the easiest with the mindworm capture however UNIVERSITY would also be an easy option to take. The hardest ones would be HIVE and BELIEVERS but I think it should be possible.
MY personal best (and anyone stupid enough to challenge its authenticity can have a copy of the TXT file) for time to transcendence is 2334 which was with UNIVERSITY on TALENT level and with opposition so I expect everyone to beet that, GOT IT! Good, Have fun

I would be interested to try your scenario with the Spartans or the PKs but even more interested to try it with the Univercity. Also it would be an idea to release all 7 scenarios at the same time end each one can choose the race with which to try. If this would be the case, then average alien lifeforms would be better so as not to give the Gaians an edge. Otherwise abundant would be just fine.
