I can't make any terrain that isn't ocean or sea level. How do I raise terrain to anything higher than flat? I looked in the manual and the bastard thing said due to lack of space some scenario editing features are not explained. If ya know how to do what I'm asking let me know please.

The manual sucks as usual. I have trouble with the map editor. There are several features you can use with the scenario editor though. When you activate it you get those figures in the information box. One of those is to raise or lower terrain. Ctrl left click a square to raise, Ctrl right click to lower. This only works one square at a time. You have to activate the brush size in map editor to do larger areas. It can be really hard to do coast lines and mountain ranges with this terrible map editor. Oh how I miss the civ2 one. |

Thanx but... I already knew all that. My problem is that once I've raised or created terrain by left clicking no matter what I do or try I can't get it to raise any higher than sea level. If it takes as long as you say it does to create a complete map I guess I'll just give up anyway. Thanks for the help though. |

hmm well I have no problem getting above sea level. Just creating a coastline can be difficult. It's not like civ2 where I could create a coastline using grassland squares then filling in the rest with whatever I want. I usually just create a random map and modify it to my liking. I just like to create continents so factions like morgan have a fighting chance. |
