I've been playing this game since it came out and just noticed the plus signs listed after the units morale. Someone give me a clue. Thanks

I believe it is telling you that the unit is receiving a morale upgrade due to social engineering. While +1 morale means just that, a +2 morale in social engineering means +1 for offense and +2 for defense. That is why you will sometimes attack an enemy's commando unit, and you might see it having a 50% defense bonus rather than 37.5%. It's because it's probably a commando with a (++). |

I don't remember my SE settings but I will check tonight. I just thought it odd that not all my units were the same. This is from memory, but the majority had nothing, and one unit had one plus sign and two others had two. (or vice versa) At least this gives me a place to start. All the units were elite. I did have the Cyborg Factory, and usually a command center when I produce battle units. It's just that I want to know every tiny aspect of this fab game. Thanks for the reply Doc. |

Also, Children's Creche will give morale upgrade to units in that city. This is (in my games) the most common source of a + |

OK, I looked last night and my social engineering has no morale bonus (like power). I think I was Police/Green/Knowlege. My roommate pointed out on his game that one of his unit has a minus. What is that all about? |

You get the minus when there are droneriots in the supporting base, I think. But what the impact of this is on gameplay??? |

As Mergle said, you get the (+) and (++) due to locational modifiers. The most common being the Children's Creche, the other being the capital. Perhaps there are still others. |
