You order them to "withdrawl from your territory" and they usually declare it on you. CLick on their name on the comm menu, then select "demand withdrawl". Or you could steal tech from them with a probe unit, or place a base in their territory. |

Or just flood their territory with your units. John III |

Why didn't firaxis implement a "Declare vandetta on faction x" option? |

You can, it's just your Integrity rating goes down if you're Pact Brothers or in a Treaty. Just attack them to declare Vendetta. John III |

in SP it is fairly easy to get them to declare vendetta on you. Make a proposal, like cede one of your bases, when they ask what in return, select "refrain from crushing.." doing this 3 or 4 times, really pisses off the AI. demand tech, credits, bases, whatever.. It's great to have a game you can be a jerk to the AI if so inclined. If they declare vendetta on you, your "reputation" will remain good. The other thing to keep in mind, reputation has no bearing on your final score. (it should, but it doesn't). |

A sure fire way to get computer players to declare vendetta on you: use probe teams. Send a probe team to do anything -- other than "inflitrate data links" -- to an enemy base. Viola! Instant war, just add water.Other ways are not foolproof. You cannot always taunt a computer player since they can ignore you, and attacking others whom you have a pact, a treaty, or even a truce kills your integrity rating. |
