i realize that some of these issues may have already been brought up, just thought i'd toss in my votes.

#1) on the replay map that is displayed after retirement, because of the spartan's color, their territory matches the back ground, making it very difficult to tell exactly how much territory they held. some type of pattern or border should be used for them.

#2) why not show sea territory on the replay?

#3) more extensive faction editing. or maybe a stand alone "faction editor". i put in all my default settings in a faction file, but why not have the ability to create brand new factions and use custom graphics?

#4) coastal cities don't actually mark off any territory in the water. this lets factions with treaties or pacts build sea cities too close and hog up your resources.

#5) a bit more work on some AI stuff. for instance, brother lal is a bitch. "peace keepers"? the guy is nuts. i play as UoP a lot and if i get too strong, the guy becomes a peace keeping nazi. what the hell? miriam is no different, but that sort of fits her fanatical profile. i'm thinking more consideration should be made if i have a high level of integrity. "everyone bash the big guy" gets a little old. also, perhaps some more work with captured cities. maybe there could be an option to request captured cities be returned as a condition of truce/treaty/pact? or perhaps even for trades; i'm just saying there should be a special distinction the AI makes between me asking it for one of it's own cities, and a city that it has captured from me. another strange condition: suppose i have a pact brother, and our mutual enemy takes over my base. then, my pact brother liberates that base from my enemy. what are the chances of that base then being returned to my control?

#6) i don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but it seems the game runs a little sluggish some times. i don't have a super fast system or anything (p233 MMX w/ 64 MEG), but sometimes, the menus just start dragging ass, the voices start studdering, the units move really slow, etc. it likes to do this the most after playing movies.

thank you for your time, and for making a great game.

1 & 2: good ideas... I thought that myself.

3: ACEdit is preety good as a faction editor... though it's up to you to work with your own artwork :P

4: This has been kicked around before. Mr. Reynolds said no.

5: This should be expected... do you seriously think everyone else will let you win? This is why making pacts key to not having to put up with everybody wanting to tear you apart at the same time.

6: Check your System resources. To do this run the Resource Meter (the shortcut is likely to be at Start: Programs: Accessories: System Tools). Performace is reduced if system resources are low.
