I would like to congratulate the people at Firaxis for producing one hell of a great game. I recently saw the game on my friends PC and it brought back the excitement I felt when I first saw Civilization on my computer many years ago. Having said this, I have a serious question to ask.

I am a graphic designer and, consequently, I use Macintoshes both at work and at home. Personally, I have no real opinion on which platform is better, I simply use the one that works best for me. I love your game, but I simply don't have the money to purchase a PC just to play games. Will there be a port of SMAC to the Macintosh? Civilization has always been one of the most popular titles available for the Mac and I am sure that SMAC will do equally well.

There are several companies, such as MacSoft and Westlake Interactive who specialize in bringing PC games to the Macintosh. Also SMAC's publisher, Electronic Arts, has experience in bringing games to the Macintosh platform as well.

I would like to say that I for one would purchase a copy of SMAC the moment it is released for the Mac. Furthermore, I know of many other Mac users that would do likewise. Considering the popularity of the iMac and Apple's resurgence in the consumer market it seems like a port would be a popular and profitable venture.

Thank You in advance for any information you may be able to provide.
